Disclaimer
I am not responsible if you screw this up. This is intended
to be a guideline and a general how to. If you follow these
instructions, You agree that I am in no way responsible for
the outcome due to these steps or error on your behalf. Nor
am I responsible if you hurt yourself. This is not street
legal to the best of my knowledge. Also, this is not
reversible. If you start, you have to finish. Be careful.
The dealer charges big money for these assemblies.
Before...

After...

I would like say say first off, if you have never done
anything like this before, you will surely never do it
again. This was a severe pain in the butt... Its not like
the coupes with the 4 tabs. However, it is worth it.
Tools you will need...
2 pair of long needle nose pliers. you can use just one, but
you will need to be careful not to scratch the inside of the
lens.
1 drill. or a Dremel tool with a side cutting bit. yes, you
have to have this.
A small drill bit 1/16 should do just fine.
A small, thin flathead screwdriver.
Take out the headlight. Bet you couldn't guess that huh?
Look in your manual for how to do this. I hadn't started
taking picture yet. Its really easy though.
The orange reflector is connected in two places to the
light. Here is where it is connected. You see these little
red lines? that's where you get to cut.
REVISION*** After having done this
mod I have found out that you can place the headlight
assembly in an oven at 250 degrees for about 10 minutes and
this will make the orange reflector soft and it can be
removed through a bulb hole with your choice of various hand
tools or you can pry the clear lens off the front of the
housing. I do not have pictures or instructions due to
the fact that I did not do it this way. I have seen it
done though.

In this picture you can see where you have to drill or
cut. Do not go all the way through when drilling the little
spot from the black side. I can't stress this enough. You
will be able to see it on the other side after it gets back
in the car. After you have drill these holes, this is kind
of what its supposed to look like:

And here is the other side..

Once all the holes are drilled, you may need to stick a
thin screwdriver through one of the holes to break the
reflector free but it should have come loose with the
drilling. if the holes are close enough this is what you
want to end up with:

Here comes the hard part. The reflector will not slide
any further to the front of the head light like this. On the
bottom of the reflector where you drilled through, the
orange plastic is too wide to go past the clear outer lens
and the chrome backing. You have to hold the reflector still
and up against the bottom where you drilled through all
those little holes, and take the small screw driver and push
it through the holes and chip that orange lip off so it will
fit through the narrow passage. You will see what I mean
when you get here.
There is now another option to removing the orange
lens. Remove all light bulbs from the housing and set your
oven to 250 degrees. Once the oven is hot place the
headlight housing in the oven for no more than 10 minutes.
This will be enough to turn the hard orange plastic into a
floppy piece of plastic. while its still hot reach inside
with the needle nose pliers and pull it out.
Once you have the reflector in the area where the turn
signal bulb comes through the back of the lens you will need
take the two pairs of needle nose pliers and stick them both
inside the bulb hole of the turn signal and grab the
reflector and break it up into small pieces. Be careful not
to scratch the chrome or the clear lens. I scratched mine
pretty bad.
Clean all the dust and trash out of the lens. I found a
vacuum cleaner very helpful here. Just use the hose
attachment and hold it up to each bulb hole for a few
minutes while shaking the stuff loose inside. Rinse with
water and let dry well if you want. If you washed it out and
it has dried, or if you got it all out without having to
wash it. I recommend sealing the drilled holes with clear
silicone. Run a bead of silicone over the holes and then
smooth it down with your finger. If you get the silicon on
the lens, it's a pain to get off. Now, let it dry until its
dry to the touch. Here is the finished product.

Finished and installed!
