F-5 does not have an SRT-4 test car so this
how-to is not based on our knowledge and we are not
responsible if you follow / do no follow these instructions
resulting in damage to your car.
This was written by one of our customers.
He did a great job and covered all the details. Thanks
Mike!
1. Remove injector cover and pull the 2 injector wiring
harness tabs loose. (This will give you enough slack to
remove the cover without unhooking harness)
2. Undo hoses (PCV & Vent) You can also unscrew PCV valve at
this time.
3. Remove coil pack and plug wires. (You can leave coil pack
plugged in to harness) Also the coil wiring clip on one of
the
stud bolts, just lifts up.
4. With everything out of the way, you can now remover the
bolts from the valve cover. (Lay bolts down in the same
order they go back)
5. Remover cover (You may need to use a flat screwdriver to
help break the cover loose) You will also see were the RTV
is placed from the factory.
6. Clean gasket surface & place RTV (I used the Red) in the
correct spots. (See instructions below)
7. Make sure all gaskets are seated in new valve cover and
lower it in place. (Do not slid the cover around the
mounting surface or you will mess up the RTV)
8. Install bolts back into valve cover in the same holes you
removed them from. (I also coated the bolt threads and the
rubber seal with motor oil where it touches the cover) This will help to
torque the bolts.
Follow instruction below for torque specs (Large Picture):

Replace coil, wires, PCV hose, vent hose,
injector harness and injector cover.
Give RTV time to set up. (I let it set overnight)
Start up, drive and check for leaks.
The whole procedure took about 45min. (except for the RTV to
set up)
